How to choose the right hall size for your guest list

A hall that is too small feels crowded, and one that is too large can feel empty and cost more than you need.

Start with who will really come. The number of invitations is rarely the number of guests. Go through your list with the elders in your family, keeping in mind distance, the day of the week and the time of the muhurtham.

Think about the busiest moment. Guests rarely all arrive at once, so ask how many people will be there at the same time.

Check the dining hall. Ask how many people sit in one batch, then work out how many batches you would need.

Finally, visit with the chairs set out if you can, and ask the manager how a function of your size is usually arranged.
