Three generations, one big happy roof. This house was built for every one of us.
The most auspicious moment
In a brand-new clay pot on a fresh fire, the milk is boiled until it rises and overflows. As it spills over the rim, so do wealth, health and happiness in the new home.
May our home overflow with joy, just like the milk!
How our house was built
Eighteen months, eight milestones and a lot of chai. Here is the story behind every wall.
January 2026
We began with a prayer. The land was blessed, the first coconut was broken and the dream officially started.
March 2026
Deep trenches, steel grids and tons of concrete. Strong roots for a strong family.
May 2026
The skeleton of the house stood up. For the first time we could see the shape of our home.
July 2026
Brick by brick, the rooms appeared. The kids chose their rooms by standing inside the empty walls!
September 2026
Terracotta tiles were laid one by one. Now our home had a roof over its head.
November 2026
Smooth walls, hidden wires and neat pipes. The invisible work that makes a house comfortable.
January 2027
Choosing colours took longer than building the walls. Warm cream and terracotta finally won.
August 2027
The last coat of paint dried, the toran went up and our house became a home. Welcome!

We begin with a sacred fire and prayers to Lord Ganesha to remove every obstacle.
6:45 AM
The house is blessed with kalasam, flowers and sacred chants.
7:30 AM
The family steps into the new home with the kalasam and lit lamp. The auspicious first step!
Main Muhurtham
8:15 AM
The milk is boiled and allowed to overflow, bringing prosperity to the home.
9:00 AM
Elders bless the family. Offerings, aarti and prasadam for everyone.
12:00 PM
A hearty vegetarian sadhya served on banana leaf for all our guests.
